The chain has been used for a long time, but it also needs maintenance. Do you know how to maintain it? Let me introduce to you:
1. The sprocket shall be installed on the shaft without deflection and swing. The end faces of two sprockets in the same drive assembly shall be in the same plane. When the center distance of the sprockets is less than 0.5m, the allowable deviation is 1mm; When the center distance of the sprocket is more than 0.5m, the allowable deviation is 2mm. However, it is not allowed to have the phenomenon of friction chain gear side face. If the two wheels are shifted too much, it is easy to cause chain shedding and accelerated wear. Check and adjust the offset when replacing the sprocket.
2. The tightness of the chain should be appropriate. Too tight will increase power consumption, and the bearing is easy to wear; Too loose chain is easy to jump and fall off. The tightness of the chain is: lift or press it from the middle of the chain, and the center distance between the two sprockets is about 2% – 3%.
3. The new chain is too long or stretched after use, which is difficult to adjust. The chain link can be removed according to the situation, but it must be an even number. The chain link shall pass through the back of the chain, and the locking plate shall be inserted outside. The opening of the locking plate shall face the opposite direction of rotation.
The reason why the lifting chain is forged is that the mechanical property of the casting is lower than that of the forging with the same material. Because the structure and performance of the liquefied metal have completely changed. In addition, forging can ensure the continuity of the metal fiber structure, so that the fiber structure of the forging is consistent with the shape of the forging, and the metal streamline is complete.
Forging of the lifting chain can ensure that the chain link has good mechanical properties and long service life. Forgings produced by precision die forging, cold extrusion, warm extrusion and other processes are incomparable to castings. Forgings are objects where metal is pressed to shape the required shape or appropriate compression force through plastic deformation. This force is typically achieved by using a hammer or pressure.
From this point of view, the forging treatment of the lifting chain can not only ensure its strength, but also further increase the compactness of the internal structure, further its density, and increase its strength a lot, which is impossible for casting. Therefore, more lifting chains will be forged.
